Willie Carrol Kirkland

Willie Carrol Kirkland, 74, died Monday, March 5, 2007 at Azalealand Nursing Home under the care of Hospice Savannah Inc.

He was a native of Nichols, Georgia and had lived in Savannah since 1955. He retired from Mabbet Transport Company as Manager after forty-five years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Noel Alyece Kirkland of Garden City; one daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Philip Gnann of Springfield, GA; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry D. and Joann Kirkland of Woodstock, GA; one brother, Steven Kirkland of Jackson, GA; three sisters, Bennie Kirkland of Smyrna, GA, Rudine Gilliard of Macon, GA, and Quinnell Fennell of Grovetown, GA; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Harry O. Kirkland of Auburndale, FL; four step children; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.

Graveside funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2007 in Greenwich Cemetery.
